Faculty Information and Contributions under NBA Accreditation
One of the most critical documents in the NBA accreditation process (NBA) accreditation process is the Self-Assessment Report (SAR). The report is a reflection of the overall quality, transparency, and performance of an institution. As a result, it is of utmost importance that the SAR is error-free, concise, and well-written to enable a smooth understanding of the academic practices of an institution by the evaluators. Moreover, it is to be noted that all criteria in the NBA accreditation process are assigned a specific weightage, which sums up to a total of 1000 marks. As a result, institutions need to present accurate data, appropriate documentation, and outcomes for all criteria in the NBA framework.
The process of preparing a Self-Assessment Report is in complete alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), which focuses on providing quality education, outcome-based learning, and institutional improvement. In addition, NEP 2020 focuses on innovation, skill development, and all-round development of students, which are critical parameters in the NBA accreditation process. As a result, institutions need to demonstrate high-quality teaching-learning practices, effective governance, and student-centric practices in their Self-Assessment Report.
Thus, it can be seen that a well-structured and comprehensive Self-Assessment Report not only aids NBA accreditation but also shows the commitment of an institution to quality education and improvement, as per the NEP 2020.

- If, AF1=AF2=0 then zero marks.
- Maximum marks to be limited if it exceeds 25 Faculty Qualification
- Faculty Qualification
FQ =2.5 x [(10X +6Y)/F)] where,
x is no. of regular faculty with Ph.D.,
Y is no. of regular faculty with MTech.,
F is no. of regular faculty required to comply with 1:15 faculty student ratio.
