The Complete Guide On NBA Accreditation

NBA stands for National Board Of Accreditation which is like an autonomous accrediting body in india. It deals with the accreditation of various programs in institutions based on the quality and the level of education being offered. There are various guidelines that are outlined by the National Board Of Accreditation to certify the institutions. Each criteria carries a some amount of weightage which sums up to a total of 1000. A self-assessment report should be based on self-introspection and facts and should not be boastful.

Applying for NBA & Submission of SAR

Now it’s time to submit the report by following these four steps:

  • Download the Self Assessment Report & fill in the details in the defined format

Once the evaluation team has completed their visit they complete the evaluation report.

Submission Of The Report

The report is submitted by the evaluators. The moderators evaluate the documents submitted by the institution.

The report is evaluated & communicated to the institution in 10 days.

Accreditation Decision By Academic Advisory Committee

Based on the committee’s decision, the AAC decides on awarding accreditation. The following are the possible outcomes:

  • Accreditation for 6 years
  • Accreditation for 3 years
  • No accreditation

If not satisfied, you can appeal the decision within 30 days of receiving the communication.
